Some sights and sounds from the 2015 event.
Locomotives in steam to be seen are: 0-6-0T Twizell (2730/1891); Hunslet designed Austerity (7169/1944), Mech Navvies, which ended its working career at nearby Swalwell Opencast Disposal point. It was actually built by Robert Stephenson & Hawthorns in Newcastle. 7515 was its War Dept. number. Mech Navvies is usually based at the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway. Also Tanfield's Hawthorn Leslie 0-4-0ST No.2 (2859/1911) and Consett Ironworks 'A' class 0-6-0PT No.5, (built in 1883) on loan from North Tyneside Steam Railway.
On the video too, is a rare lineup of 3 Austerity Locos, outside Marley Hill shed and AW No.2 on shunting duties.
