As a day trip from Tokyo we visited Mitosaya, Japan's first botanical brandy distillery surrounded by a beautiful botanical garden. We were welcomed by the owners Hiroshi and Yuko, their children and friends.
After the tour of the distillery and tasting of some herbs from the garden and some brandies in the making, our visit ended with a true Japanese feast in their garden glasshouse.
We felt lucky to be able to see the beginnings of such an interesting project and to have a little insight into this family's life- immersed and inspired by the nature that surrounds them.
