I’m always trying to look for more affordable options to recommend to you guys, so I started researching dupes to popular cameras from DJI, Insta360, and GoPro - and what I ended up finding was way more than just cheap cameras. It was an entire industry not based on selling dupes, but on duping you - the customer. This is the world of scameras, and I wanted to investigate how the quality of these cameras compare to their expensive counterpart, and why some of the knock-offs seem to have familiar, trust-worthy brand names.
