Investigative journalist Jeff German, 69, was writing for the Las Vegas Review-Journal when he was stabbed to death outside his Las Vegas home on 9/2/22. Former Clark County Public Administrator/politician/attorney Robert Telles, 47, has been charged with Open M*uder and faces life in prison if convicted (the DP has been taken off the table). Prosecutors say the motive for the crime was Telles' outrage regarding 4 exposé pieces German wrote about him, including reporting on allegations of creating a toxic work environment for employees as well as an inappropriate relationship with a subordinate. Telles publicly blamed German for destroying his career and marriage, yet maintains his innocence, and claims he has been framed. Judge Michelle Leavitt is presiding ~ a combination of the best parts of Cyndi Lauper, 90s Madonna and Betsey Johnson, and we are here for it! Telles was pro-se for awhile (that was fun!) but is now represented by attorney Robert Draskovich. The prosecution team includes attorneys Pamela Weckerly & Christopher Hamner. The defendant is expected to testify.
