Afghanistan Drone Strikes Target Balochistan & Khyber Pakhtunkhwa | ISPR Confirms 4 Drones Shot Down

According to ISPR, the Pakistan Army’s media wing has confirmed that 4 drones sent from Afghanistan were successfully shot down.

The Afghan Ministry of Defense claims the strikes targeted ISIS-Khorasan hideouts in Balochistan and multiple areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Garm Chashma, Chitral.

In Peshawar’s suburban area of Hassan Khel, 5 people including women and children were reported injured in a drone strike and shifted to Lady Reading Hospital LRH. Some sources also report 1 woman lost her life.

Analyst Fida Adeel notes that after the Rangers camp att@-ack in Karachi, Pakistan’s air operations in 3 eastern Afghan provinces and retaliatory drone strikes from Afghanistan have increased Pak-Afghan tensions again, putting bilateral talks in question. Meanwhile, the Pakistan government has announced arrests of illegally residing Afghan refugees from July 11 onwards.
