Synchro (on Steam) Playtest First Look

It's a 2D platformer action adventure, but with a turn based combat system. Combat is split into two phases; a planning phase and then a synchro phase where the combat is played out. The combat is kind of difficult because you can't see exactly where an enemy is moving to and half the time if they will attack. The timing of things just seems to be they move, you move, they attack, you attack. Instead of weight/mass/speed of character, speed of attacks light/heavy, etc, dictating the timing of everything in the world. This makes it feel even weirder because the planning mode feels pre-emptive as it seemed the enemy isn't even showing all their actions yet. But, in synchro mode the enemy characters move and attack before you, as if the enemy is pre-emptive and you are reactive.
