Описание: In this talk, Maya Vendhan talks about the lack of Women in STEM, how it affects the real world, and what we can do about it. Maya is an eighth-grade student at STEM School Highlands Ranch. She is very interested in initiatives that aim at getting more girls interested in STEM fields. Maya is passionate about space exploration. She enjoys taking advanced math courses and solving challenging problems. She likes to get involved in community service initiatives and works with her peers through the National Junior Honor Society. She is actively engaged in her school’s math club, and Technology Student Association. She dabbles with engineering projects through her school and loves to code. In her free time, Maya enjoys playing the piano, painting, dancing, singing, and doing crafts. She plays basketball and is an avid NBA fan.
