Why does English sound so different — even when your grammar and vocabulary are good?
In this video, I explain one of the biggest hidden problems English learners face: rhythm.
English is a stress-timed language, which means we stress meaning words and reduce grammar words to keep a steady rhythm.
Many other languages — including Persian and French — are syllable-timed, where each syllable gets roughly the same amount of time.
That difference alone explains why English can feel difficult to pronounce naturally.
In this lesson, you’ll learn:
• The difference between stress-timed and syllable-timed languages
• Why English rhythm sounds “musical”
• Which words get stressed — and which ones get reduced
• How rhythm affects fluency more than accent
If English pronunciation has always felt frustrating, this video will make things much clearer.
