This is not to blame anyone, but to express how important it is for patients to feel truly listened to.

I’m extremely grateful for my current doctor, who took the time to carefully read my entire case history from start to end, understood my struggles, and guided me properly. That made a huge difference in my treatment and recovery.

Also, for those asking — yes, I waited for my piercing to heal before surgery. My current doctor was fully aware of it and advised me to wait, as a fresh piercing is essentially a wound and could increase the risk of infection. We made that decision carefully and medically.
