This week we share a video from our #bayvillelocation with #chiropractor Dr. Kyla! #Pediatricchiropracticcare is very different from traditional chiropractic adjustments for adults. The main focus when working with children is to take the body out of a stressed state and into a more relaxed state. We do this by freeing up the #nerves that come from the #spine which promote our "rest and digest" aspect of the #nervoussystem. Typically, the #birthingprocess can be stressful on babies and with all the bumps and falling as they start to grow, pressure accumulates on the nerves. When enough pressure is on the nerves, the body has a hard time communicating with itself and this is when we see ailments like #acidreflux, #colic, #earinfections, etc. Freeing up the nerves allows the body to heal on its own.
