Top three questions you should ask a doctor before you invest in implant treatments, in my opinion, is, "How long have you been doing this procedure?" Experience matters. It truly does. The amount of time I've put in studying, working, and taking the time to learn how to do the implant technology, it's important. Implants are great. They really support your mouth. They last a very long time when done properly, but you don't really know who's good and who's not good. But if you ask the right questions, you'll be able to figure it out.

But one of the biggest things is, "Do you do this digitally?" That's a very key word. Digitally. In our office, we have all the latest technology. Really, there's two types of ways of doing implants in today's world. There's free hand, and then, there's digital. Or almost like you have the typewriter versus the smartphone. I've done it both ways and I will honestly tell you that the digital way of doing it is now, in my opinion, the standard of care. There's no other way to have an implant put in without a guided system.

So, this takes me to the third question, "How am I going to afford this treatment?" That's a very legitimate question because you want your teeth, but obviously, not everyone has the same financial availability. So, affordability options are really important within our office. "Are their payment plans? Is their third-party financing available? Is this just where I have to pay upfront? Do you offer cash discounts? Is this something that is going to have a warranty associated with it?" That's a really key question when it comes to investment. "Fine I'm going to spend this money. What are you going to back up your work?" That is an ultimately more important question than truly the cost is you'll know, if they're willing to back up their work, in my opinion. That's a serious doctor.
