In this video, we’re breaking down the Bullwhip with the steel club — a dynamic direction change swing that adds torque, coordination, and new movement patterns to your training.
The bullwhip looks similar to a traditional mill at first, but instead of smoothly casting over the shoulder into the next rep, you’re reversing direction mid-pattern.
It’s an over-the-shoulder launch and pull-back that forces you to:
-Control acceleration
-Coordinate timing
-Reverse direction cleanly
-Avoid just “flinging” the club
It takes some messing around to dial in the rhythm and coordination — but once it clicks, it’s a fun variation that opens up a lot of creative swing combinations.
