Both Poland and Thailand make considerable efforts to preserve cultural heritage. We share a similarly deep appreciation of our traditional craftsmanship, especially textile arts.

Thai silk weaving is a craft cultivated for centuries, the artisans creating stunning silks with unique, often nature-inspired patterns. Floral adornments are a prevalent theme in Thai culture, appearing even as stunning decoration on the facade of the Thailand Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.

In Poland, crocheting and lace-making have been staples of traditional crafts for centuries. The lace is created by hand, using motifs inspired by nature.

The Thailand Pavilion received a special gift: a lace doily inspired by a traditional Thai pattern. It symbolises our shared appreciation of traditional crafts. Valuing one's cultural background and preserving national customs brings our countries together.
