✨✨ Vast Shikumen complexes dazzle for a ‘Shining Shanghai’ Chinese New Year!

Описание: The 4th Shining Shanghai Light Up Jing'an exhibition will officially open on February 15, marking a vibrant start to the 2026 Spring Festival season.

On the evening of February 8, a preview light show at Zhangyuan set the stage, raising public anticipation.

Notably, this year’s exhibition is the first to expand beyond the ground and building façades into the city’s skyline, creating an immersive visual experience for residents and visitors.

In terms of design, the curatorial team incorporated auspicious symbols such as gourds, longevity peaches and silver ingots, symbolizing good fortune for the new year.

Integrating works by Xu Beihong (1895-1953), a pioneer of modern Chinese painting, with Spring Festival elements and cutting-edge light and shadow technology, the event will feature five unique exhibits, illuminating core areas like North Maoming Road Pedestrian Street and Zhangyuan from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm daily.
