Описание: যে কারণে সচল হচ্ছে লালমনিরহাট বিমানবন্দর। বাংলাদেশ লালমনিরহাটে বিমানবন্দর চালু করলে ‘পাল্টা ব্যবস্থা’ নেবে ভারত। লালমনিরহাটে বিমানবন্দর চালু করার ঘোষণার পর ত্রিপুরা রাজ্যের কৈলাশহরের পুরোনো একটি বিমানবন্দর সংস্কারের কাজ শুরু করেছে দেশটি। এটি বেসামরিক কাজে ব্যবহৃত হলেও ধারণা করা হচ্ছে- যুদ্ধকালীন সময় ভারতীয় বিমান বাহিনীর যুদ্ধ বিমানগুলোর উড্ডয়ন, অবতরণ এবং জ্বালানি ভরার সুযোগ করে দেয়ার সুবিধাযোগ্য করে তোলা হচ্ছে।
