This is a memorable and precious traditional recipe to remember the taste of Bak Chang from my parents or grandparents to my children. Those were the days during the “ Dragon Boat Festival”, my mom (grandma) will prepare this delicious and unforgettable Hakka Bak Chang to all sibling. Below is the preparation ingredients:-
Ingredients (for 30 pcs portion):
2kg of glutinous rice
10pcs dried mushrooms
150g candied winter melon
1 bowl dried shrimps
1kg pork belly
15pcs dried chestnut (cut into halves)
15 salted egg yolks (cut into halves)
300g Split Green Beans
Approx 3 garlic bulbs
One packed of dried bamboo leaves @ approx 60 leaves
Cooking Oil
Salt (according to taste)
White pepper (according to taste)
Light soy sauce (according to taste)
Dark soy sauce (according to taste)
Five(5) spice powder (according to taste)
