A doctor was seriously injured in a machete attack at Thamarassery Taluk Hospital. The attacker was identified as Sanoop, the father of a nine-year-old girl who died two months ago. Sanoop blamed the doctor for his daughter’s death, who died from Amoebic Meningoencephalitis. Dr Vipin PT suffered a skull fracture and was shifted to a Kozhikode hospital. Thamarassery police arrested Sanoop soon after the attack and launched an investigation.
