Here's a quick gameplay video of a 1981 Williams Pharaoh. This is one of the four double playfield machines designed by Williams in 1980/81. Along with Black Knight, Jungle Lord and Solar Fire, Pharaoh had an upper playfield that was accessed via two ramps. This combined with speech and multiball was how Williams was trying to innovate in an effort to compete with video games and other pinball manufacturers at the time.
Pharaoh is a cool game with lots of drop targets and fun things to shoot for. The captive ball feature is a tough but rewarding shot and the "hidden tomb" shot can surprise you when the ball suddenly appears on the upper playfield.
The sounds are mildly annoying and a take a bit of getting used to. Black Knight definitely has the upper hand in this regard.
Pharaoh was designed by Tony Kraemer with art by Seamus McLaughlin. For more information on this game, see here: https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=1778
