He explains that Tarna Dal, established under the legacy of Baba Deep Singh, continues today under the leadership lineage that includes Baba Jogga Singh, who is considered the forefather of the present Nihang Singhs of Misl Shaheedan. The Nihang Singhs associated with this tradition follow the guidance of their forefathers and remain independent in their spiritual discipline.

One of the most fascinating parts of this discussion is the ancient tradition of “Ardaas Singh.” When families who cannot have children seek blessings, they request an ardaas. If blessed with sons, one child may be dedicated to the Tarna Dal Jatha. These sons grow up within the Nihang Singh tradition, living under the spiritual guidance of the Khalsa. They are not considered orphaned—their spiritual father is Guru Gobind Singh and their mother is Mata Sahib Kaur.
