Welcome to what is arguably the single hardest stage in the game. Most ubers don’t work and your regular units are just about as useful as them. Normally backliners would be very useful here, but this is complicated by a new addition to the stage, Tackey. Tackey will snipe any backliner you dare to bring to the stage, whether it be a standard range unit like A. Urs or a unit with as high of a range as Dalaisan. Tankers aren’t a surefire win either not only due to Hyppoh’s insane damage output but also due to the high damage support of Doge Dark and Celeboodle, who will shred your tankers if you don’t have anything else to deal with them.

However, there is a way to stall Hyppoh using only 2 meatshields. By alternating the spawns of C. Cat and M. Eraser, you can space them far enough apart so they never get hit together by Super Hyppoh’s attacks. Of course, between the peons dealing extreme damage to your meatshields and Tackey sometimes sniping them, you’ll need more than 2 to beat this. Catellite can survive a hit starting at Level 42 if you have maxed out Alien fruit treasures from COTC, but leveling it up a little more is recommended so it won’t die instantly to Trolly Blogger afterward. Metal Cat is the strongest meatshield of all here given that it only takes 1 damage from any hit, but it will die fast if Trolly Blogger is in the frontline, so you need a way to clear them out for Metal to get its full value.

Cyberpunk and Sniper are nearly required on this stage. The amount of control they have over the stage while still staying out of danger from Tackey is insanely valuable here. As for attackers, you will always want Slime and Bullet Train here due to their ability to get large bursts of damage fairly consistently. Housewife is a very consistent attacker who will help keep the peons from overwhelming your meatshields and ensure that Trolly Blogger can’t kill Metal. Pizza won’t always get through Tackey, but if he does, he can deal a ton of damage to peons that push in front of Hyppoh and if you’re lucky, his Wave can deal a ton of damage to Tackey. Talented Heavy Assault CAT is far more consistent than Pizza, but to allow it to survive a hit from Hyppoh you need it to be at least Lv. 50 with an A-tier Alien Defense orb equipped.

The goal is simple: Kill both Tackeys on the stage and push Hyppoh away from your base. The execution… not so much. This stage by its nature is not consistent at all, although this was my first try with the lineup. There are many factors that can ruin your run, but through perseverance (or boost) you’ll eventually push through and beat the stage.

Or you can just use ubers. Please just use ubers. This stage is insane I still can’t believe I did this.

What is a Dark Catseye? New to 12.0, Dark Catseyes work similarly to Legend Catseyes in that they can upgrade any rarity of cat (except Normal) up to a natural level of 50. However, their main function is that they can further increase the natural level of Uber Rares to 60. For levels 51-55, 1 Dark Eye is required and for levels 56-60, 2 Dark Eyes are required.
