Durga Pujo is an immensely exciting time for many of us Indians, and even more so for us Bengalis, but this year is an exceptional one. We have been unable to pour our hearts out to Pujo like we do in the other years, but we should still not be too disappointed. After all, we have the option to keep the culture alive, if not the celebration, through classic Pujo songs, dancing with our families, and occasionally going out to the local temples. Being a musician, my personal outlet for my excitement about Pujo is through songs, particularly through the song Bajlo Tomar Alor Benu. A classic Pujo song, it is very representative of how closely we Bengalis hold Pujo to our hearts. I have always felt a strong connection to this song, so here I am now, paying my respects to Pujo!
