ALAgrApHY usa algoritmos para ensinar às máquinas como fazer arte. A sua obra de arte foi exibida no Grand Palais e premiada no Salon d'Automne . Uma de suas últimas exposições na Fundação Gulbenkian contou com o Collective Brain eXperiment, uma obra de arte coletiva interativa usando os medias sociais, durante sua residência como artista e cientista do Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência. ALAgrApHY mostrará uma nova série de obras de arte geradas por IA no Grand Palais em fevereiro de 2020.

Equinox of Art/Science
Al, Alaa or ALAgrApHY, artist (painter, photographer, and director) and scientist (Ph.D. in complex systems, Data Scientist and artificial intelligence specialist) is a pioneer in the art generated by IA or AIART. ALAgrApHY uses algorithms to teach machines how to make art. Her work of art was exhibited at the Grand Palais and awarded at the Salon d'Automne. One of his last exhibitions at the Gulbenkian Foundation featured Collective Brain eXperiment, an interactive collective artwork using social media, during his residency as an artist and scientist at the Gulbenkian Institute of Science. ALAgrApHY will showcase a new series of AI-generated artwork at the Grand Palais in February 2020.
Paris-based artist and scientist, Al, tries to explore the fine line between art and science, underlining a balance that, when properly managed, can enable us to see and understand much more in this digital age. Al uses art and science to redefine our origins and identity and repaint this world as a more peaceful and diverse place.
Artista (pintor, cineasta e fotógrafo) e cientista (Doutorado em sistemas complexos, cientista de dados e especialista em inteligência artificial) está entre os pioneiros da arte gerada por inteligência artificial. Alaa, Al ou ALAgrApHY usa algoritmos para ensinar os computadores a gerar mosaicos compostos por milhares de faces únicas (de pessoas fictícias) de todas as origens, idades e géneros, inspiradas no seu projeto humanitário 1001faces.org. A sua obra "D'ame (s) Souriante (s)" ganhou o prémio de arte digital no Salon d'Automne e foi exibida no Grand Palais em 2018 e 2019. A sua obra coletiva / interativa "Collective Brain X" esteve em exposição na Fundação Gulbenkian este ano enquanto artista residente no Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciencia.
