The mysterious SCP-049, known as the Plague Doctor, is brought in to talk with The Seeker. Avoiding the topic of his work and of the Pestilence, the Seeker decides to ask SCP-049 about his past. The Plague Doctor reveals that he was originally married, living on a farm. As the Seeker continues his questioning, SCP-049 recounts the illness of his wife and his desperation to provide for her and their unborn child. As fate would have it, he would come across a Plague Doctor who has fallen ill. This Plague Doctor prompts him to continue his work for him.
