Calling all teachers and educators! As part of a UK Space Agency funded initiative, we have created several curriculum-linked resources to help integrate space and planetary science into classroom teaching and home education. This is the first in a series of online showcases, in which our we present the new resources and explain how to use and access them. The resources include:
Boxes of samples available to loan for free, which include meteorites, impact rocks, and 3D tactile models of impact craters, as well as suggested lessons and activities that make use of the samples.
A new poster explaining meteorite formation and classification
A separate classroom activity related to space exploration and planetary defence.
The resources are designed for pupils studying Science, Geography and/or Geology subjects, in Key Stages 2-5. This showcase focuses on the resources for Key Stage 3.
