The ongoing expansion works at Dabolim International Airport have thrown commuters into daily confusion and discomfort, especially during peak morning hours. As part of the infrastructure development, the main entry and exit points of the airport are being temporarily closed every morning for nearly three hours, leaving passengers, taxi operators, and staff to navigate a chaotic alternative route.
In a stopgap arrangement, the old exit gate is now being used for both entry and exit, leading to bottlenecks, traffic snarls, and rising tempers. Vehicles heading in and out of the airport are forced to share a narrow path, which lacks proper signage, security coordination, and traffic regulation.
