In 2023, Clonbullogue GAA club in County Offaly, part of Clonbullogue Sustainable Energy Communities, received the support of the Cloncreen Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund for the installation of lighting to ensure a safe, floodlight walking track for club members and the local community and to allow players train at night time. Last year, Cloncreen Wind Farm provided funding for the installation of solar panels on the clubhouse roof to provide a power source for the new floodlights and to heat the water so players can have a hot shower after training.
