Dominic Allen, a representative from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) spoke to Sky News about the state of maternal healthcare in Gaza and what pregnant women are experiencing amidst the Israeli bombardment on the Gaza strip.
An estimated 50,000 women in Gaza are pregnant, around 160 are due to give birth every day. Pregnant Palestinian women and new mothers face life-threatening barriers to accessing safe care, risking their own well-being and their infants’.
