Visiting Sarah Jane's House in Penarth, Wales!

Описание: Come visit Sarah Jane's House in Penarth, Wales with me and my friend Anthony Garnon! Neither of us have ever seen this location before, so we're both very excited! It's nighttime, though, so we're walking along the street in the dark, making our way to 21 Clinton Road, which is a real address, but in the TV show, it stands in for 13 Bannerman Road! You'll recognize it from many shots throughout the Sarah Jane Adventures. And at last we made it!

It was so exciting to be seeing Sarah Jane's House! 13 Bannerman Road! So much of this area was recognizable from shots in the Sarah Jane Adventures! We came across the mailbox where Sarah Jane sends a letter and across the street is Maria's house, one of the characters from the show! All that was left to do was get a shot of the house, not look too creepy doing this late at night, and wait for a passing car to drive by to help shed some light. Anthony and I had to take a selfie as proof that we have been to Sarah Jane's house and then it was getting late so we made our way back to the Penarth Railway Station.

Along the way, we spotted the Paget rooms which was used as a a filming location for another Doctor Who spinoff show, Torchwood, specifically the From Out of the Rain episode. I spotted a red telephone booth so, of course, I had to get a photo with it! Anthony and I made it back to the Penarth Railway Station, got on board our train, and set off on our way to Cardiff Central Station.

We then decided to get some incredible ice cream from Llanfaes Dairy in Cardiff, Wales! https://www.llanfaesdairy.com/ I had to get an array of flavors. I of course had to get a scoop of the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup flavor, the Blackcurrant Cheesecake, the Lotus Biscoff and I also had to get some of the Custard Cream ice cream because of course the Doctor's TARDIS has a custard Cream dispenser! There were so many flavors to choose from. You've got pumpkin spice, cherry amaretto, bubble gum, strawberry cheesecake, Vanilla, Mint, and Kinder Bueno. Everything was delicious!

And we knew just the perfect place to eat our ice cream! We'd visited it earlier! The restaurant from Boom Town, the Series 1 Doctor Who Episode where the TARDIS crew hang out and have lunch and it's also where the Ninth Doctor would later take Margaret out for dinner! The place was closed at this point, but the outdoor seating was still available!

And then we saw fireworks going off right up above the water! It was a beautiful sight to behold. I couldn't believe it! What an amazing way to round out an incredible day!

Then it was time to take the train back to Weston Super Mare. Anthony's wife, Crina, picked us up at the Weston Super Mare station, and we drove by car to get a cheeky Nando's. This was one of my bucket list items! Having a meal at Nandos! I got the Fino Pitta, Peri-Peri Salted Chips (fries) and Garlic Bread! I also got an incredible dessert called Pastel de Nata. The Nando's menu describes it as a custardy, flaky, buttery, traditional Portuguese treat that's freshly baked right there every day.

We enjoyed our meal back at Anthony and Crina's house while their cat Joey came and said hi! We watched the Seventh Doctor Tales of the TARDIS. I'm so grateful to Anthony and Crina for opening up their home to me and for giving me such an incredible tour of Cardiff and Penarth. We also watched the 40th Anniversary Edition of Doctor Who The Five Doctors! It was amazing! And Anthony also decided to have us watch Dimensions in Time! So that was fun as well!
