About the Game

Co‑op Vandalism
In YAPYAP you’re summoned as tiny bug‑eyed minions to infiltrate a rival’s tower and cause chaos. The goal is to vandalize enough objects to meet a quota, so you smash pianos, clog toilets, spill water on carpets and ruin the wizard’s day. The more inventive the destruction, the higher the score. We tried stacking chairs to block patrols, tossing furniture out windows and peeing on rugs when spells were on cooldown. Juvenile? Absolutely. Satisfying? Yes — until a creature hears the noise.

Unique Spells & Physics
Spells are found on wands scattered around the tower and cover everything from pushing, pulling and smashing to teleporting, cloning and fishifying. Because the game uses a physics‑based sandbox, results are rarely predictable: an attempted teleport may send you through a wall, and a push can knock a friend off a balcony. We spent much of the night experimenting, and laughing when a plan went wrong. Be warned though, the physics can feel unpolished. Objects sometimes clip, spells misfire if you’re not aimed properly, and the game can lag when too many effects trigger. This roughness contributes to the chaos but will frustrate players who expect precision.

Voice‑Activated Incantations
Every spell requires saying an incantation into your microphone. Enunciation matters; mispronouncing a single syllable produces the wrong effect or nothing at all. Shouting “pull” and seeing a wardrobe slide is great when it works, but background noise and overlapping voices often confuse the system. We regularly tried to clone ourselves but launched into traps because someone spoke too quickly. The proximity voice chat also means everyone is yelling spells at once, and when monsters are nearby you must whisper to avoid detection. This mechanic creates hilarious disasters but can also be exhausting.

Horror & Escapes
The tower is procedurally generated and patrolled by magical beasts, failed experiments and things even the archmage fears. Some enemies can be stunned or transformed, while others — like the Jester — can’t be killed. You need to survive three nights and meet the destruction target, so the game forces you to balance vandalism with stealth. When stealth fails, your only option is to run. We set off traps by accident and found ourselves sprinting down halls, fumbling for an escape spell while creatures closed in. These moments are genuinely tense, though sometimes the random generation feels unfair, with enemies spawning right in front of you.

Why This Video Is Different
This isn’t a scripted playthrough; it’s a candid look at six friends learning the game. We show ourselves:

We alternate between laughing and being frustrated, and that balance is what keeps the session interesting.
