Big Cancer Update: Surgery Date, SABR Radiotherapy, Scans, and Good News

Описание: It has been a whirlwind few days, so here is a real time update.

Yesterday I had an echocardiogram and praise God my heart is doing really well. The hope is that when I see the cardiologist soon I may be able to come off the last few tablets, which would be amazing. Later the same day I had a routine MRI, all smooth, no issues.

Today I met with the surgeon about my left lung, and the news was encouraging. Surgery could be as early as March 7, although we are waiting for final confirmation. Then, completely out of the blue, the cancer team called and asked me to come in on Thursday to begin planning SABR radiotherapy. So now there are scans, blood tests, and treatment planning happening very quickly.

What we do not yet know is how the surgery and SABR will fit together, whether they run alongside each other or one after the other. We should know more very soon.

Overall, this is positive. A lot happening, a bit of a head spin, but grateful, hopeful, and moving forward one step at a time. Thank you for walking this journey with me, your prayers, messages, and support mean more than you know. I will keep you updated.
