On this edition of the weekly buff we have a beautiful 2006 C5 corvette that a repeat customer purchased and brought to us first thing so that we could bring it back to life as best as we can. It had been sitting with the previous owner so it had plenty of swirl marks, scratches, and chips that needed to be taken care of.
The first thing as always is going to be a decontamination wash to remove any rail dust, tar, fallout, and anything abrasive that could damage the paint further during correction. we use clean claybars fresh wash mits, and our EVO PRO Shampoo to ensure that the finish is completely ready for the next step.
Once that is complete the crew began the paint correction with our EVO 800 Heavy cut polish along with our yellow wool pads to remove deep imperfections in the paint that have been eye sore for many years now. This step usually leaves residual haze known as marring that needs to be removed with a follow up step of correction. For the follow up polishing step we use our evo 3000 finishing polish along with a blue or yellow foam pad to remove all marring and leave a finish ready for ceramic coating.
The final step is a full array of our EVO PRO Ceramic Coatings to protect the paint finish. We used our EVO 9H Titanium to protect it for six years, our evo wheel and caliper coating, evo glass coating, and EVO Plastic renew & protect on all trim to prevent further fading from the sun in Vegas.
