In this weeks woodturning video I turn a Balsam Poplar Log I located dead in the forest near my home into a beautiful hand turned live edge vase. Handcrafted in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
I found it difficult to hollow out this vase, however in the end it all worked out. Next time I'll use a dark contrasting mica powder to fill hairline cracks. The white just didn't pop the way I thought it would.
