Snap on long barrel is about $560
Snap on short barrel is about $515
Chief medium barrel is about $50
McGraw medium barrel is about $30
For my purposes either harbor freight medium barrel air hammer give a bigger rerun on investment than the short snap on barrel air hammer. All give god power.
Snap on had the best air hammer bit retaining component
McGraw retaining spring is better than the chief
McGraw is the best option if the three for my purposes although I do love the chief and it has not failed me, at the price point the McGraw edges out the chief by a small margen.
@TorqueTestChannel has extensive testing videos on a large variety of air hammers all makes and models. There's a lot of videos on air hammers and it led me to choose the chief.
