Sacagawea Dollar Coin 2000 p - d Experimental Rinse Sacagawea Golden Dollar Coins are very rare and scarce. The US Mint chemically treated this 2000 d coin. The 2001p Sacagawea Dollar is far more common. Please take a moment and hit the bottom right red rectangle to Subscribe. By Subscribing it will help Me help You stay informed about my research and upcoming informative videos on more surprise Sacagaweacoins that I collected and the unexplained and nearly impossible connection between a "p" and "d" Mint Mark discovery. The US Mint tested different metal alloys and experimental rinses during the development of these one dollar Sacagawea coins. The 2000d dollar coin coming up in this video is REDDISH BROWN-PURPLE WITH A BRIGHT BRILLIANT REDDISH COPPER KETTLE COLORED UNDER LAYER like the 2001p experimental rinse coins and is an extreme rarity. I have only seen a couple Sacagawea coins of this color. A coin company that turns bags in to rolls noticed that some of the Sacagawea coins that they received were of a more brownish color than shiny gold. Another Sacagawea on line site has a 2001p Sacagawea with a very similar dark brown color overtone and certified by a large coin grader and a Sacagawea Dollar Error News Article on Experimental Rinse Sacagaweas has a very Dark Brown certified Sacagawea at the bottom of their page. I have not seen any reddish brown certified 2000d Sacagaweas yet. However there is one Denver 2006d PCGS certified Experimental Rinse Sacagawea on line website. And on a Sacagawea news error article there is a real nice dark brown certified 2001 p at the bottom of their experimental rinse article. The Sacagawea 2000p Experimental Rinse Planchet - Anti Tarnishing Agent coin in this video with aprox only 10 known are considered extremely rare coins and nearly unattainable.
You can Google "2000p experimental rinse" and read an interesting article on discolored Sacagawea dollars.
A Sacagawea 2000d Experimental Rinse coin is almost unheard of, however their are now a few 2000d Sacagawea subjects which are of the Chocolate-Reddish Brown Purple-Color-Experimental-Rinse-Sacagawea-Golden-Dollar-2000d's and now 18 years after the minting of these conis began one 2006d Denver Sacagawea has now been certified. Which verifies that the Denver Mint's Sacagawea coin experimental Rinse process was established prior to 2006. Which leads one to believe that the anti-tarnishing agent and experimental rinse testing process was also set up in Denver in early 2000. You may want to Subscribe to this channel for future informative videos on more of these Sacagawea coins during my ongoing research. I will be looking for this reddish brown color on Certified coins in the future. The Sacagawea coins in this video have not been graded at the time of this video.
Another Sacagawea web site has photos of a 2001p (at the TOP) and a 2000p Experimental Rinse (at the BOTTOM), and now a 2006d experimental rinse Anti Tarnishing Agent Sacagawea also at the bottom. Some coin collectors are placing the 2000p Experimental Rinse Sacagawea coins as more rare than the 39, 24 ct gold Proof Sacagawea coins that went into space on the space shuttle, as far as attainability, and value. Several different Anti Tarnishing Agents and alloys were tested during the development of the Sacagawea Dollar. Search Sacagawea 2000p Experimental Rinse coin on Google for more information on these great coins. I will be actively researching the process of anti-tarnishing agents on metals and alloys in an attempt to discover why the chemical agents used by the US Mint remained on these few coins that are being discovered. Some of the 2001p Sacagaweas that have been certified appear to have a small remainder of a dark reddish brown chemical still covering portions of the surface of these coins. The 2000d and 2000p coins are very hard to find and only two 2000p coins have been certified that appear to have this dark brown color very similar to this 2000d that I received directly from a postal vending machine early at their introduction say mid June or July 2000.
I will be actively researching for any new theories about just what may have happened to this coin, so if you subscribe you will get a notice on any new videos when I post them and information that I may come up with. Also please keep the comments coming about what you discover, they really help. Thank you.
