Bagged out on King George Whiting at Venus Bay | Exploring Talia Caves

Описание: We started the day with an epic glass off at Venus Bay and headed out to try our luck for some squid after a few location tips from our mates, Jim and Kel. It was hard going, made even more frustrating by the fact that we could SEE the squid but they just weren't fired up enough to attack the jigs. We ended up with 5 though which was still a couple of feeds and fresh bait so definitely can't be mad at that! We also came across a Spider Crab which was super cool to see up close!

Since the weather was still so awesome, we headed back over to the whiting grounds we'd been finishing the last couple of days and it was so calm and clear that we were actually sight-casting for the KG's! Again though, they didn't seem to be super hungry so after persisting with them for a couple of hours, we decided it was time to go for a Hezza Slay.

The following morning was super windy so we went to Talia Caves for a look at The Tub and Woolshed Cave, which were both beautiful. When we got back to camp, the wind had eased enough that Jed decided to go for a solo mission to chase the KG's again. Totally ended up worth it, bagging out on King George, scoring his SA PB at 38cm and getting a nice Flatty as well!
