Fly fishing with Terrestrial flies like hoppers, beetles, ants and crickets can be the height of your fly fishing season. These takes are often explosive and it's one of the only opportunities of the year to bring out the big giant dry flies. Casting right on the dry side of the bank and gently letting your terrestrial fly drop into the water will give you a more realistic presentation to bank feeding trout, but may seem like a counter intuitive approach at first.
