That wouldn't be the last time as he would play in tons of detective shows as the bad guy of the week in the 70s. He had a really embarrassing moment on Dick Clark's game show the 20 Thousand Dollar Pyramid. He wrote his own sci-fi book series TekWar that was turned into a TV series and a comic book.

He triumphed as Captain Kirk and died as Captain Kirk on Star Trek Generations. His first series was a legal drama, and it wouldn't be the last time he starred in one. He's appeared in more movies and TV series than most actors still working in his 90s.
