GV. Interior of pigeon loft, man grabs a pigeon from perch. CU. Two pigeons looking on. SV. Man puts his pigeon into basket. AS. Pan down club house, presumably in Roosendaal, Holland. Men arriving with their pigeons. GV. Interior of pigeon loft. GV. Man with pigeon. CU. Pigeon's leg is put into machine which putts rubber ring on leg - all pigeons have to be ringed.



Pigeon is put into basket ready for transport. GV. Men carrying baskets, pan up to show lots of baskets alongside railway truck. Special train is to transport the pigeons to France. GV. Baskets being loaded into trucks and checked by man, name of place is Roosendaal. CU. Baskets being loaded aboard train. CU. Ticket stuck on side of wagon marked "Wagon Complete". GV. Train moving. Shot taken from train. GV. Interior of wagon showing baskets piled up, man in background throwing in pigeon food to basket. CU. Basket with food falling on top and the pigeons feeding. SCU. Engine driver. CU. Pigeons being splashed with water, one has a drink.



GV. A room with pigeon fanciers listening to the pips and winding their clocks. They raise them to their ears to see if they are working - this is setting the clocks. AS. Orleans. SV. Basket being unloaded. GV. Orleans Station yard, hundreds of baskets piled up. AS. Pan down men up on rostrum waving flag for release of pigeons - start of race. Pan down to show man rapidly opening baskets and pigeons flying out. GV. Elevated, thousands of pigeons leaving station yard. GV. Dawn shot, thousands of pigeons making tracks for home. GV. Thousands of pigeons flying away from camera.



SV. Pigeon fancier waiting by his loft for his birds. GV. Two men. GV. Two of the birds nearing home. SV. Man looking out from his loft. GV. Pan, one of the pigeons coming in and lands on his loft. SV. Interior, loft as pigeon flies in. GV. Interior, loft as man picks up bird. SV. Two pigeons look on. CU. Clock. Man has taken rubber ring from bird placed in canister, and we see him place canister in clock and wind it - it would tell the time when the bird arrived home. SV. Club room with clocks being handed in. CU. Clock being opened. CU. Sheet of paper is taken out. CU. Pan the owner inside his loft feeding the winning pigeon. CU. Pigeon feeding from owner's hand.
