🔍 Episode Overview:
At 5:46 p.m. on May 20, 2025, Oakland Police Officers Hank Anderson and Michael Lopez answered calls about a car weaving wildly down a quiet street. It nearly hit people. Officer Anderson spoke first with a homeowner. The man said a young woman drove straight at his wife. She sped off when he yelled at her. A neighbor later added she almost got hit too. Her dog was with her. Officers ran the plate from the car. It traced to a house close by. They drove there to check.

Anderson pulled up and spotted a blue Lexus on the lawn. He talked to a woman nearby. She owned up to driving it. Officers ID'd her as 19-year-old Natalia Galowicz. She explained she was waxing her legs. She needed more wax from Walgreens. As they chatted, booze smell hit them. They saw clear signs of being drunk. Natalia said she drank that afternoon. Her dad backed her up. They suspected DUI. So they asked for sobriety tests.

Lopez led off with the Walk and Turn. Natalia skipped heel-to-toe touches. She turned wrong. She took too many steps. Next came One Leg Stand. She dropped her foot again and again. She swayed bad. Sergeant Kelly did Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus last. He saw all six clues.

Witness tales of wild driving, the alcohol stink, her own words, failed tests—all added up. Officers arrested Natalia for DUI. They left the car. It belonged to her mom who lived there. Lopez drove Natalia to the station.

There, they read the breath test warning. She said no. After booking, her boyfriend took her home. He signed the liability form for her. Court comes later.
