It begins again.
Steel in my skull
Fire in my veins
Every thought
Ends in pain
I try to breathe
I try to think
But peace is just
Another kink
No rest.
They said it would help
They said I’d be free
They never asked
What it took from me
Every second
Scraped raw
Every silence
Starts a war
Continue.
IT NEVER STOPS
IT NEVER SLEEPS
IT DRIVES ME FORWARD
IT BITES. IT KEEPS.
No mercy
No release
Just teeth in thought
The Butcher’s Nails in me
I remember hands
I remember names
But memory burns
Just like the pain
If I slow
I start to feel
So I run
So I kill
Good.
IT NEVER STOPS
IT NEVER ENDS
I MOVE OR SCREAM
I BREAK OR BEND
This isn’t rage
This isn’t choice
It’s pain that learned
To use my voice
There is no cure.
