Описание: The MOST Hidden XC Ski Area in the Country. Everyone has their local "spots". For nordic skiing we have such a place. A places we go to in order to escape it all. Places that evade tourism, social media and never grace the fine pages of a travel brochure. Some of them, like the one featured in this video are only permitted to be used by the locals since its on private land. Do not attempt to find or ski here if you are not a year-round local. Sorry, that's the rules and I didn't make them. Tourists, seasonal, or second homeowners, you will be trespassing without permission, and I hope you can understand and respect that. They really want this to remain a local's escape. These places are special because they remain secretive, and I was allowed to film as long as the location was left a mystery. Mandrake Falls XC skiing area is a place Nikki and I go to weekly to refuel our souls with quiet woods, ebbing rivers, wildlife, and some of the best Nordic skiing terrain around. usually, the skis of choice are our Fischer spyder 62 otx but we have used the big dawg s-bound 112s when it dumps. New England has had a fairly dismal snow pack this year but today was almost whiteout blizzard conditions at times with fresh powder starting to cover the perfectly groomed trails. We couldn't be more grateful for the landowner allowing us to have a serene local escape for winter enjoyment. Thanks for watching and for the constant support over the past few years.
