Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose came fourth in the ICS examination in London. But he resigned after taking a decision that he wants to work for the country and therefore it was not possible to be in bureaucracy and fight with the government for total freedom.
This video describes his very first meeting with Mahatma Gandhi. During discussion #Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose found that on the method for all fighting for freedom he had different opinion than #MahatmaGandhi. However as per advice of Gandhi, he left for Calcutta to report to Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Das.
Born in Cuttack home of Janki Nath and Prabhabati Bose on 23rd. January, 1897, sixth son and ninth child of theirs was destined to leave an indelible mark on India’s history. It did not, however, take the parents long to realise that this particular son, Subhash Chandra, was very different from his brothers and sisters and from other children of his age.
Netaji #SubhashChandra Bose had time and again talked about his vision of a free India. Netaji believed in following the lessons of The #Bhagavadgita. One must sacrifice for the purpose of one’s life. Netaji’s purpose was total freedom for the country.
His highly rated speeches explain the following five aspects of his vision:
1. He lamented that a small section of society towing the lines of British were propagating that awakening of our people was inspired from outside. According to them democracy was a Western concept and not the human institution.
2. Netaji forcefully reiterated that our Indian #Nationalism was based on Gita and the ancient principles of - #Satyam #Shivam and #Sundaram, which are: truth, goodness and beauty.
3. He emphasised that our goal should be ‘Sampuran #Swaraj & not Dominion under British rule.
4. He negated the argument of ‘benign rulers’ & self appointed advisers that we are not capable enough for the self-rule.
5. Regarding Constitution, Netaji specified three points of cardinal importance.
i) Constitution should guarantee sovereignty to the people.
ii) Constitution should be pre-faced by a declaration of rights to guarantee elementary rights of citizens.
iii) There should be a system of joint electorate.
