MINISTER AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S VISIT TO ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK

Описание: During the Minister and Executive Directors' familiarization visit to Etosha National Park, the Minister officially handed over two heavy-duty vehicles a Mercedes-Benz 33 Series Dropside Truck and a Powerstar Chassis Cab Water Tank Truck. These vehicles were procured by the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism through the Game Products Trust Fund, at a total cost of seven million, one hundred and thirty thousand, seven hundred and seventeen Namibian dollars and seven cents (N$7,130,717.07)

In addition to the vehicles, equipment valued at N$151,000 was also handed over. This equipment, also procured through the Game Products Trust Fund, included:
• Office Equipment: One projector, two desktop computers, three monitor screens, one mono printer, and two laptops.
• Accommodation Materials: Forty-five pillowcases, pillow inners, mattress protectors, and fitted sheets.
• Kitchen Items: Thirty-six table forks, thirty-six steel teaspoons, thirty-six spoons, twenty-four hi-ball glass crates, and six 9.5-litre steel single chafing dishes.

The visit also included tours of the K9 Dog Unit, Horse Unit, park roads, the eastern boundary fence, and tourist comfort stops. Additionally, the delegation held a meet-and-greet session with staff from the Ministry and Namibia Wildlife Resorts at Okaukuejo.

A presentation was also delivered on community concessions inside national parks, with specific focus on the King Nehale Conservancy.
