Spoken introduction: So this is a tune that Joe Burke, the late great Joe Burke, accordion player from Loughrea in County Galway, recorded on a flute album that he did with Miriam Casey [aka Máire Ní Chathasaigh] on the harp. And Joe was a great flute player as well as a great box [player], but he also played the fiddle and the pipes. But anyhow this is a tune that he recorded and it’s called Róisín Dubh. Or it’s also known as Mise Éire.
