Depression, anxiety, low energy, mental fog, asthma, sleep apnea, trauma, the list goes on. All of these things can be improved and even completely eliminated with a variety of breathing techniques.
The benefits of rhythmic breathing on our body, mind, and soul are numerous and powerful, so I’ve made breathwork fun by using songs you know and enjoy to help you release any stress and disease and reprogram your nervous system back to a calm, healthy and safe space.
Benefits of Rhythmic Breathing:
Relaxation is in the Exhalation - By extending the exhale longer than the inhale we create a parasympathetic rest and relax response in the body which allows our body and mind to slow and gain clarity
Coherence - By breathing in for the same count as we breathe out (i.e. a 1:1 inhale exhale ratio) our mind, heart, organs and bodily functions begin to sync up which creates a flow state where the entire system is working at optimum efficiency
Energy - When sped up, our breath can work like coffee to energize our body and mind, so ditch the caffeine and choose to get high on your own supply!
Benefits of Humming on Exhale
Produces 7-15x more Nitric Oxide than nasal breathing so amplify all those NO benefits from above
Increases CO2 levels which relaxes the body and mind
Calms the nervous system down by triggering the vagus nerve which stimulates the parasympathetic, rest and relax nervous system which switches off the fight/flight sympathetic response
The tones can help to quiet the monkey/verbal/thinking/egoic mind which can create stress in the body and worry in the mind

Diaphragmatic (Belly) vs Chest Breathing
Switching to diaphragmatic breathing can be one of the easiest ways to increase your breath hold time (an accurate measure of overall health)
Diaphragmatic breathing stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system receptors that keep your body calm and relaxed
Chest breathing leads to hyperventilation (over breathing) which stimulates a Sympathetic fight, flight freeze nervous system response which leads to more stress and survival mind
