Penn Station is the busiest rail complex in the Western Hemisphere — during the peak evening hour there are 100 train movements, happening once every 36 seconds.
To make that volume of movement happen, train operators going in and out of Penn use one of three different operational techniques to get passengers in and out of the station efficiently.
