In lieu of the recent active shooter incidents in both Ohio and Colorado, the Ocean City Police Department is encouraging citizens to view a video "Run Hide Fight -- Surviving an Active Shooter Event" that was produced by the City of Huston, with funding from the Department of Homeland Security.
No one can predict where and when the next incident will occur......and anything we can do to help prepare those who might find themselves in such a predicament.... could make the difference.
We encourage all persons to participate in proactive police crime prevention programs such as neighborhood watch. Citizens can also sign up to attend the OCPD Citizens Police Academy
