Why is Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz from "Phineas and Ferb" so determined to take over the Tri-State Area? We know that's his ultimate goal, but he never truly gave us a specific reason for it, so today we'll try to find out just that.
At the same time, we should ask ourselves: what's up with Doof's parents? Heinz seems to hate everyone and everything on the planet, and we know he intends to make them all pay but, somehow, that's not the case for his parents.
That's right, have you ever noticed how Heinz never once sought revenge on Mr. and Mrs. Doofenshmirtz?
Does he not hate them, perhaps? Does he not blame them for their perpetual mistreatment of him?
So in this Video Essay we're going to analyze Doof's character and work out why he's so eager to rule the Tri-State Area and, while we're at it, we should also explore his troubling relationship with his parents. Let's attempt to see things from his perspective and try to connect the dots...
