Delhi assembly Leader of Opposition Atishi Marlena called out the BJP government and CM Rekha Gupta for failing to keep up their promise of Rs. 2500 monthly allowance to women. Atishi said the BJP had promised to provide the aid by March 8, 2025, during the Delhi elections.

Rekha Gupta approved a budget of Rs. 5,100 crore last year under the scheme Mahila Samriddhi Yojana for women aged 21-60 from low-income households. However, Atishi said the women in Delhi are still awaiting these benefits despite linking their mobile numbers to their bank accounts.
