What are Independent Bottlers? - Indie Bottlers in Whisky Explained

Описание: Welcome back Dram Fam, to The Whisky Diary. This week, I'm going to talk to you all about Independent Bottlers.

Not all distilleries bottle their own Whisky. There are companies out there that buy up casks of YOUR favourite Whisky, stick it in THEIR warehouses, slap it in a bottle with their LABEL on it, and sell it as their own... this, is an independent bottler!

Independent botters are an incredible way to explore unique expressions of your favourite Whiskies. Independent bottlers purchase Whisky from the distillery and age it themselves. They have their own priorities when it comes to when it's ready to bottle, and often explore unique cask finishes and how long it's aged for.

The thoughts and opinions in this video are my own. I'm not, and will never be, paid to influence my opinion on any whisky or product I review. My palate isn't perfect, and we're all learning everyday... Whisky is a journey, I'm just bringing you along for the ride!
